A governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State, Sheni Ibiwoye (SAN), has listed his plans and policy to foster economic and build security in the state.
Speaking on Thursday during the presentation of his letter of intent to the State Working Committee of the party in Ilorin, Ibiwoye said his vision is anchored on a “People First” approach to governance.
He highlighted plans to strengthen security through a community-based framework that would involve collaboration among local stakeholders and the use of modern technology.
On economic development, the aspirant said he aims to position Kwara as a major player in agriculture and agro-processing, with initiatives designed to boost productivity and support value chains across the state.
He also outlined proposals on job creation, including the establishment of skills acquisition centres, support for small businesses, and partnerships with the private sector.
Ibkwoye said he would upgrade public schools, enhancing teacher development, and integrate technology into learning systems.
He further spoke on social welfare, noting the importance of inclusive policies that support vulnerable groups and improve public service delivery.
The aspirant also emphasized balanced development across the state, with proposals for improved infrastructure, rural development initiatives, and expanded access to essential services.
He explained that his policy plans would foster sustainable growth and development in Kwara state.
