Nollywood actress, Dakore Akande has thrown shade on marriages hitting the rock of divorce in a fast pace.
She stressed that many entered into marriages with expectations but no endurance.
Dakore who said this via her social media handle added that, “many people don’t want marriage, they want the image of it. They enter with expectations but no endurance. The first inconvenience shows up and suddenly divorces feels justified.”
She explained that a keen decision and her deliberate choices to remain married was the driver of her long stayed in marriage.
She urged everyone in marriage to make sacrifices and be patience enough rather than hitting the button of divorce.
According to her, “I’ve been there. I’ve seen pressure, misunderstandings, and moments where emotions ran hot. What kept us together wasn’t luck, it was a decision. A stubborn, deliberate choice to work instead of escape.
“Strong marriages aren’t loud. They’re built quietly through sacrifice and patience. Anyone who ignores that reality is already halfway out the door.”
