The lead pastor, Victory Life Bible Church International, Lawrence Achudume, has warned Nigerians against envy and jealousy.
The cleric who spoke at remembrance ceremony of his wife, Fola Achudume, stressed that the negative emotions could lead to conflict, resentment, and stagnation.
Achudume said, “Envy and jealousy can breed discord, discouragement, and bitterness in our lives.
“When we allow these emotions to consume us, we become embroiled in conflicts and struggles that can hinder our progress and development.”
He also noted that envy and jealousy could manifest in various ways, including anger, bitterness and resentment towards others who may be more successful or prosperous.
“These emotions can lead to strife and conflict, not just within ourselves, but also with others,” he said.
According to Achudume, God’s grace is a gift that enables individuals to achieve purpose.
He further encouraged Nigerians to stay in their lane and trust in God’s plan.
“Sometimes, God allows pains and challenges because He wants to do better things in our lives,” he said.
A Non-Governmental Organisation, Royal Ladies International, which was founded by the late Fola Achudume, held its annual programme at the event, tagged “All Women Summit.”
The programme, with the theme “Limitless,” was to empower the elderly and widows, to mark the remembrance and thanksgiving service.
Pastor Dolapo Adelakun of Victory International Church stressed the need for women not to be limited by age, marriage, status, or financial circumstances in achieving their potential.
Adelakun said, “Women should strive to be limitless and be open to development.”
