The Secretary to the Rivers State Government, Benibo Anabraba
The Secretary to the Rivers State Government, Benibo Anabraba, has dumped the People’s Democratic Party.
This information was contained in his resignation letter dated January 5, 2026 and addressed to the PDP Chairman, Ward 1, Akuku-Toru Local Government Area of the state.
The letter in part quoted Anabraba as saying that his decision to leave the main opposition party was “personal.”
He also expressed appreciation for the “political leverage gained from the party during the period of my membership.”
Although Anabraba did not disclose his next political move, it is understood that he is planning to join the ruling All Progressives Congress.
