A 37-year-old man, Osiname Olasoji, has appealed for a N32 million donation to enable him undergo an urgent surgery to remove a brain aneurysm in India.
This was contained in a formal letter written on behalf of the family by his sister, Adeola Oladeji.
According to the letter, Olasoji has been battling the brain aneurysm for the past five years.
It was gathered that Olasoji first underwent surgery at the University College Hospital, Ibadan, Oyo State, for aneurysm wrapping on December 16, 2020.
βBut due to the position of the aneurysm, the doctors could not clip it; he now urgently requires surgical intervention in India. Doctors have recommended a coiling procedure, which offers the best chance for recovery and a return to a normal life.
βThe total cost for the surgery and related travel expenses is approximately $22,000 (N32,000,000). This includes the hospital procedure, post-surgery care, and the cost of transportation and accommodation for him and a caregiver during his treatment,β the letter read.
The sister hinted that though the family had raised some part of the amount but had not reached the full amount, calling the general public for donation to aid the surgery process.
