Nigerian entrepreneur, Obinna Iyiegbu and Anambra State Governor, Charles Soludo
Popular Nigerian entrepreneur, Obinna Iyiegbu, generally known as Obi Cubana, on Tuesday said Anambra State Governor, Charles Soludo return to power for second term will significantly boost development in the state.
Soludo who won the November 2025 governorship election held across 5718 polling unit secured about 422,664 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Nicholas Ukachukwu of the All-Progressives Congress, who polled 99,445 votes.
On Tuesday, Soludo was sworn in for a second term in office.
Obi Cubana, who joined political leaders at the inauguration, said in a statement personally signed that Soludo’s re-election represented a strong vote of confidence from the people of Anambra.
He noted that the outcome reflected the governor’s commitment to purposeful leadership and people-centred governance.
According to him, the governor’s renewed mandate provides an opportunity to consolidate ongoing reforms and further accelerate development across key sectors of the state’s economy.
“Governor Soludo’s leadership has brought renewed vision and strategic direction to Anambra State. His emphasis on economic transformation, infrastructure renewal and human capital development aligns with the aspirations of Ndi Anambra both at home and in the diaspora.
“I am confident that the governor’s second term will deepen policies aimed at strengthening the business environment, improving infrastructure and promoting industrialisation within the state,” he said.
He hailed the people of Anambra State for their continued democratic support to governance.
